napisałem ostatnio, że powiem co było pod kartką do Was - zobaczcie zresztą sami - to była mapa kolejowa do Zermattu.
Today I will show you something that is the symbol of the highest mountains in Europe - Alps. It is called the Matterhorn. It is one of the highest peaks in Alps on the border between Switzerland and Italy - it is also known as a Monte Cervino. So how did I get there? First I was taking regular train to the small city called Visp, where I got to an amazing old-style train. The view from the train was really amazing, and also the train itself was something special :)
Dzisiaj pokażę Wam coś, co uchodzi za symbol najwyższych gór Europy - Alp. A nazywa się on Matterhorn. Matterhorn jest jednym z najwyższych szczytów Alp i leży na granicy szwajcarsko-włoskiej. Jest też znany pod włoską nazwą Monte Cervino. No to jak dam się dostałem? Najpierw pojechałem zwykłym pociągiem do małego miasteczka Visp, gdzie przesiadłem się do starego szwajcarskiego pociągu. Widoki z pociągu były wspaniałe, a i sam pociąg był bardzo fajny :)
Sometimes the train was climbing up on the railroad too steepest for the normal train - there for a short periods of times it was using a special rack-rails not to slip back. When I finally got out in Zermatt I have seen the wall having the world WELCOME written in almost every language - but the first one was... see for yourself
Czasem pociąg musiał się wspinać po torach za stromych dla normalnego pociągu - wtedy używał specjalnego napędu i jechał po specjalnej zębatce aby nie ssunąć się spowrotem w dół. Kiedy w końcu dotarłem do Zermattu zobaczyłem ścianę ze słowem WITAMY napisanym w prawie każdym języku - ale piersze z nich było po... zresztą zobaczcie sami
Right after getting out from the train station I've seen a very funny taxis - it turned out that they look like this because it was prohibited to enter the city with a regular car - so the only option to transport something were this old electric carts.Zaraz po wyjściu zobaczyłem coś bardzo dziwnego - jak się potem okazało te taksówki są takie śmieszne bo tylko takie kiedyś mogły jeździc po tym mieście - nie wolno było używać silników spalinowych a jedynie wózków elektrycznych.
But where is Matterhorn?

We need to get there, right? Noooooot. It is extremely dangerous to climb there and absolutely not possible to do by the regular people - so if we cannot go there - lets at least look closer. We need to check the map and take the special train up.

Musimy się tam dostać, no nie? Nieeee. Wspinanie się na Matterhorn jest bardzo niebezpieczne i absolutnie niedostępne dla zwykłych ludzi. Zatem jesli nie możemy tam wejść, przynajmniej obejrzyjmy go z bliska.
We can do it from Gronergrat - one of the peaks nearby. To get there we must take the next special mountain train - here it goes on the rack all the way up (look near my elbow).
Najlepszy widok na Matterhorn jest z góry Gronergrat - jednej z oaz dla narciarzy. Aby tam się dostać musimy wsiąść do następnej specjalnej kolejki - tutaj jest tak stromo, że pociąg jedzie cały czs na zębatce (widać ją koło mojego łokcia).
Here you can see how the train looks like, but what is really amazing is what you can see when going up - just take a look bellow.
The lonely peak of Matterhorn and panorama around looks just fantastic.
A tak wyglądała kolejka, ale co naprawdę było w niej wspaniałe to to, co można było zobaczyć podczas jazdy w górę - zerknijcie sami. Samotny szczyt Matterhorn i panorama gór dookoła wygląda po porostu wspaniale.
When the train reached the top of Gronergrat we got out and the view around was just breathtaking. I do not need to tell you - see for yourself. One of the funny things were black birds living on the top - they were so used to people that they were eating from my hand. Unfortunately weather went bad and we went down to find a postcards for you.
Kiedy kolejka zatrzymała się na górze i wyszliśmy na stację widik po prostu nas powalił - zobaczcie zresztą sami. Jedną z ciekawostek tam były czarne ptaki, które tak się przyzwyczaiły do ludzi, że jadły mi z ręki. Niestety pogoda zaczęła się psuć i zjechaliśmy na dół, by znaleźć i wysłać Wam kartki.
And here traditionally postcards for you - I sent at least one home, probably you won't get them.

When going back I was thinking that you would really like to be there with me.
