My dearest Sons,
Today I will show you next beautiful place, of which the Dutch are very proud, and which you HAVE TO see: the Keukenhof.

dzisiaj kolejne piękne miejsce, które jest dumą Holendrów i które MUSICIE zobaczyć: Keukenhof.

Keukenhof is an amazing flower garden, that has no equivalent in Europe, or in the whole world. This garden is open only for a short time in April and May - the period when tulips are blooming. Imagine, that this place is surrounded by the fields of flowers, which are spread up to a few miles far from from the garden (see pictures below).

Keukenhof to wspaniały ogród kwiatowy, który nie ma swojego odpowiednika w Europie, a nawet na całym świecie. Ogród ten jest otwarty tylko przez krótki czas w kwietniu i maju -gdy kwitną tulipany. Wyobraźcie sobie, że dookoła tego miejsca ciągną się kilometrami pola kwiatowe - jak to na zdjęciu poniżej.

In Keukenhof you don't have to see only the flowers - it has also an old windmill, canals, bridges, boat trips, a little zoo, a palace, lakes that you can walk on and many more. 

Oprócz samych niesamowicie pięknych kwiatów są tu także wiatrak, wycieczki łódkami, kanały, mosty, małe zoo, pałac, jeziorko po którym można chodzić i wiele innych. 

Where the tulip fields end, dunes start, and right behind them there is the North See.

Tam gdzie już się kończą pola tulipanów, zaczynają się wydmy, a za nimi Morze Północne.

When you go there by car, you can go through an amazing place - the Enclosure Dam (called in Dutch the Afsluitdijk) - on the left (picture below) you can see the North See, on the right you see a huge sweet-water lake (called IJsselmeer), which used to be a part of the see. This huge dam was built to protect the land and to create additional land by drying parts of the old sea - think about an extraordinary fact that 20% of the Netherlands is below the see level, and over 50% of its land lies less than one meter (3 ft) above the sea level.

Jeśli jedziecie tam autem, możecie przejechać przez ogromną tamę (Aflsuitdijk) - z lewej strony (na zdjęciu poniżej) widać Morze Północne, a z prawej olbrzymie słodkowodne jezioro (IJsselmer), które niecałe sto lat temu jeszcze było morzem. Ta wielka tama została zbudowana aby chronić Holandię przed morzem i aby móc osuszyć część byłego morzą i stworzyć w ten sposób nowy ląd. Pomyślcie o niesamowitej rzeczy - 20% Holandii leży poniżej poziomu morza, a ponad 50% jest co najwyżej 1 metr! powyżej poziomu morza.
